"The pharmacy won't issue my script?"
Occasionally, pharmacy will not issue scripts to patients unless they have a copy of the original filed at the time of dispensing. Our practice is to
fax the script
FIRST, then
post it to the pharmacy
(pharmacy MUST
have scripts on file legally in the event of an audit by Medicare).
If the patient says their pharmacy won't dispense medication, tell the patient to ask the pharmacy to call the practice to confirm the script.
