NB: LETTERS and NUMBERS DON'T MIX:
Don't try to bill vaccinations or WorkCover items with MBS (Medicare) ones. They MUST be billed
SEPARATELY!
As CSMP is a private billing practice,
patients will generally pay a fee for their consults. This fee will either be a
standard
fee or
concession
fee, based on the doctor's discretion.
1. When a patient is ready for billing, they will appear green in the appointment book:
Double-click on the appointment to initiate the billing, which will open this window:
Circled above is the Fee Type. As a private practice, fees are generally charged at either Standard or Concession rates.
To begin payment, click on Pay now:
In the NEXT window, make sure the following circled options have been ticked, before clicking process:
Once payment has been received, a merchant receipt will print automatically. Write the DOCTOR'S CODEin the top corner of this receipt, and the patient's name on the bottom, and retain the receipt for end of day reconciliation. You can then begin the process to issue the patient's rebate, which begins automatically after payment:
