When can I get vaccinated?

When can I get vaccinated?

Ideally, prior to the Peak Flu Season (which, in Australia, is between June and September).

Having the vaccine closer to the beginning of the Flu Season keeps your immunity levels higher for the peak time within the period.

Since immunity levels decrease over time, getting the vaccine earlier than late April/May could reduce the time in which it is effective (i.e. getting it earlier means immunity drops earlier).

Studies have also shown that the vaccine generally only lasts for 3-4 months, meaning that if you get it too early, you may be vulnerable towards the last months of the season.

Our flu clinics will be running during the first weeks of May - get in touch to book!
