Scanning

Scanning

Over the course of the day, several hundred pages of documents will come into the practice either via fax or regular mail. Much of these will need to be scanned into patient files (except if there are duplicates).

As a workflow, documents that are mailed to the practice should:

1. Be SCANNED from the Practice fax/printers into the folder Front Desk Scanning:

2. Once scanned in, you'll then need to allocate the files using the Bulk Document Import program from Best Practice:
3.  Once opened, you'll need to log in and import the scanned or unallocated documents into the Master Inbox, making sure that each of the circled fields are entered, and that you have selected the correct patient, as well as the contact from who we've received the correspondence:

3. Once you've allocated each of the files, they will appear in the MASTER inbox, as well as in the doctor's individual inbox. Once a doctor has checked the document, they will disappear from the inbox!
